The handicap card is similar to getting a driving licence. It shows a certain level of proficency of skill and knowlege of the rules of golf.
The Centralized Handicap System(CHS) is created and maintained by the Singapore Golf Association(SGA). It follows the World Handicap System(WHS) that is globally recognized standard.
Golfing Requirements
There are only 2 golf courses in Singapore that do not readily check for handicap, Mandai Executive Golf Course and Champions Golf Course. Every other golf course requires you to have a CHS account.

Safety and Etiquette
There are varying situations where by golfers can get injured by a stray ball. Demonstrating how Golfing Etiquette and Safety is key in passing the Courtesy round.
